This stunning Manaia made from Kauri veneer, has been engraved with traditional Maori designs and inlaid with Paua shell. The Manaia, accompanied by a dark emerald/cyan coloured feather to emphasise it having the head of a bird, is displayed in a black box frame.
The Manaia in Maori Mythology, is said to be the Guardian Spirit, a protector for those whom holds it dear. Our Manaia would therefore be a wonderful gift for someone coming of age, like a 21st or 1st birthday, reaching a life milestone, such as a 50th Wedding Anniversary or Graduating from college or university or simply celebrating a special occasion.
The base of the Manaia (as pictured) can be engraved with a name and small message and with or without the option for Paua inlaid numbers.
